The proposal should be 2,000–2,500 words and detail their experiment, methodology, and connection to the theme.
Judges will score the proposal out of 16 points, weighted across the four criteria:
Weight: 4 Points
Clarity of Research Questions, Testable Hypothesis, Rigor of Methodology, Realistic Beamline Utilization (Is the experiment safe and can it be done?), Measurable Results.
Weight: 4 Points
Direct, meaningful link to SDG 14 and/or SDG 15, Potential for Real-World, Scalable Impact, Novelty of the approach to sustainability.
Weight: 4 Points
Novelty of the scientific question, Unique approach to using a proton beamline for the theme, Originality of experimental design or materials used.
Weight: 4 Points
Clarity of the Executive Summary, Professional language and flow, Defined team roles and task breakdown, Visual presentation of diagrams/data (if included).
